ActivTrak Introduces Workflow Optimization Solution to Help Enterprises Prioritize Change, Guide AI Investment and Measure Impact
New solution applies work intelligence to help leaders improve capacity, productivity and performance
ActivTrak today introduced ActivTrak Workflow, a new workflow optimization solution for AI, operations and transformation leaders. Workflow provides a view of how work gets done across people, process and technology, helping leaders prioritize the highest-impact opportunities to improve work, recommend where AI, automation or other changes can create the greatest value and measure the results.
AI is changing work faster than organizations can understand its impact. Spending and adoption metrics provide only part of the picture: they do not show how AI affects capacity, productivity and performance or which investments deserve to scale. Without an objective baseline, leaders must make critical transformation decisions based on incomplete data and assumptions.
The gap between AI investment and business value is widespread. In a study of more than 1,250 firms, BCG found that just 5% had translated AI into value at scale. Sixty percent did not achieve material value at all, reporting minimal revenue and cost gains despite substantial investment.
The work between systems
ActivTrak Workflow turns behavioral work data into work intelligence, revealing where friction, repetitive work and inefficiency consume capacity. Most enterprise data captures activity inside a particular application or predefined process. ActivTrak captures digital work across applications and teams, revealing the transitions, handoffs, repeated steps, context switching and workarounds that occur between systems.
Workflow surfaces these insights at the task, role and team level rather than exposing individual activity or performance. This approach gives enterprise leaders actionable business intelligence while supporting responsible data use.
“Enterprise leaders do not lack ideas for applying AI. They lack a disciplined way to determine which opportunities deserve investment,” said Javier Aldrete, Chief Product Officer at ActivTrak. “Workflow gives them the evidence to make those decisions and prove what changed. That moves AI transformation from a collection of assumptions and experiments to a measurable system for improvement.”
Work intelligence for workflow optimization
ActivTrak Workflow supports a five-stage approach to workflow optimization: Discover, Prioritize, Act, Measure and Scale.
- Discover where repetitive work, friction and inefficiency create opportunities for improvement.
- Prioritize the highest-value opportunities with recommendations for where AI, automation or other changes can have the greatest impact.
- Act by implementing the right intervention.
- Measure what changed and whether it delivered the intended business impact.
- Scale successful improvements across additional teams and areas of the organization.
ActivTrak provides the intelligence to discover and prioritize opportunities and measure results; customers and their partners implement and scale the changes.
“AI transformation requires more than broad access to new tools. ActivTrak Workflow validates what we already thought about many of these challenges and puts numbers behind it. That gives us a clearer basis for deciding where to focus,” said an ActivTrak customer and vice president of technology at a global commercial insurer.
Early Access and availability
Early Access is available to select organizations today. ActivTrak plans to make Workflow generally available in January 2027.
