ActivTrak Achieves SOC 2 Type 1 Certification
ActivTrak, a workforce analytics and productivity platform provider, today announced it has achieved Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type 1 compliance, providing independent validation that ActivTrak security controls and operational processes meet a security standard of excellence. It is considered one of the highest standards for security accreditation.
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), System and Organization Controls (SOC) is a technical auditing process used to validate the systems and controls designed by an organization to secure its client data.
Reports are conducted by independent auditors, who measure the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality or privacy of an organization’s systems, and ultimately determine whether effective safeguards and controls are in place.
There are 5 trust criteria and ActivTrak is certified in three of them: security, availability and confidentiality.
