Rita Selvaggi Moves to Executive Chair, Mark Ralls Is Named CEO

Jana Wilson Rounds Out Leadership Team as Chief Financial Officer

After four years leading ActivTrak to record-breaking growth, Rita Selvaggi will become executive chair of the board with a continued focus on supporting the strategic growth of the company. Succeeding her, Mark Ralls has been named CEO and president, joined by Jana Wilson, who has been named chief financial officer.

Selvaggi’s tenure has been defined by an unprecedented shift in the way people work, resulting in increased demand for solutions that help organizations make more informed workforce decisions. Under her leadership, ActivTrak helped to define and establish the category of workforce analytics, gaining thousands of customers around the world, and achieving 485% growth over the last three years.

“I’m incredibly proud to have led such a talented, dedicated team — and to have achieved all that we’ve achieved. From a pre-pandemic startup to a post-pandemic market leader, we’ve exceeded our goals every step of the way. Mark and Jana believe in our mission, and bring deep expertise to this next stage in our trajectory. I’m excited to see them build on the company’s strong foundation, and to support them as leaders for our next phase of growth,” said Selvaggi

Ralls joined ActivTrak earlier this year in the role of president. An experienced software executive, he brings over twenty years of operating experience to the company with particular expertise in leveraging data and analytics to drive business decisions, and a proven ability to build high-performing and scalable organizations. Prior to ActivTrak, he was president and chief operating officer at Invicti Security, an Austin-based cybersecurity firm. He has also held a variety of leadership roles in business strategy and operations at SolarWinds, Social Solutions and Vista Consulting Group.

Wilson has been ActivTrak CFO for several months. Recognized as one of Austin’s leading financial and operational executives, her career has included successful companies from early-stage start-ups to public companies where she has a strong record of accomplishment in venture and private equity funding, mergers, acquisitions and IPOs. Wilson brings deep experience leading enterprise SaaS companies, particularly in the area of HRIS technology, and has served as CFO at Vibe HCM, PeopleAdmin, Inc., Traq/Tangoe, 360Commerce/Oracle and others.

“I’m honored to join such an outstanding team, and to build on the impressive momentum that has been built under Rita’s leadership. This year promises to be a break-out year for workforce analytics as we help more customers and partners unlock the potential of the future of work,” said Ralls. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to join ActivTrak at such an exciting time in leading the industry forward.”

“It’s not often you see a market opportunity like this one come along, and a company that’s perfectly positioned — and equipped — to seize it. ActivTrak has proven to be agile, innovative and successful in the face of challenging times, which is a true testament to its operational excellence and leadership,” said Wilson. “I look forward to working with Mark and Rita to take the company to the next level in the workforce analytics space.”

“ActivTrak has transformed the way companies think about workforce productivity and engagement as critical to business success,” said board member Chris Pacitti, founder and partner at Elsewhere Partners. “I’m looking forward to having Rita take the helm as our executive board chair, as we work alongside Mark, Jana and the rest of the team to continue to scale the company to new heights.”
