Remote Agent Installation
The Remote Agent Installation feature of the ActivTrak Viewer allows you to install the Agent on individual workstations connected to the network without having to physically visit the workstations.
While Group Policy distribution is a more efficient way to install the agent on large numbers of workstations, the remote agent installation feature is useful when dealing with a small number of computers.
The Remote Agent Install dialog is accessible
from the File menu or by pressing 
Select the target workstation and the Agent installer file.
Press Check Status to see if the Agent is installed and the current version.
[The Agent installer file is included in the Viewer package and is copied to the Program Files folder during Viewer installation. Or, you may download the latest version of the Agent from http://activtrak.com/files/ActivTrakAgent.msi .]
Press Install or Uninstall to begin the process. If you cancel the installation before completion, the installation may continue on the remote workstation, but you will not receive status information.
Note: This feature may be used to install .MSI packages other than the ActivTrak agent, but only for packages intended for "all users" of the workstation.
Requirements
To use Remote Agent Installation, Windows file sharing must be active on the remote workstation, and you must be an administrator of the workstation. You will be prompted for user ID and password if necessary.
