Net View
The Net View window is a most significant window type in the ActivTrak Viewer. It shows the current application information for all the computers on your network. It is also the starting point for opening other window types, for displaying information about individual computers - snapshots, log histories, etc.
Open a new Net View by selecting the New/Net
View from the File menu or pressing the on
the button bar to open a view of the local subnet.
When opening a Net View, you specify the part of your network that you would like to view both in logical terms by specifying the domains or computer names, and in physical terms by specifying the subnets in terms of IP address. Access control to ActivTrak data is determined by logical network specification. For more information see Selecting Domains .
To open other window types from the Net View Window, select a computer and then use the menu or button bar. For quick access, right click on a computer.
By default, a Net View window of the local subnet is opened automatically when the ActivTrak Viewer is started. This option can be turned off with a selection on the View menu.
Hint: Complex Net View windows can be saved to Net View files (.anv) and reopened at a later time. Complex Net View windows might include multiple subnets, custom column arrangements, and filters.
