Agent Installation

To install The ActivTrak Agent simply download and run the installer file:

 ActivTrakAgent.msi

Administrator rights are required. Updates can be installed overtop of an existing installation.

After installation, the ActivTrak Agent does NOT appears in the Add/Remove software applet. To check if it is installed, look for ActivTrak in the list of services.

Command Line Switches

     Silent install:

msiexec -qn -i ActivTrakAgent.msi

     Uninstall:

msiexec -x ActivTrakAgent.msi

To successfully uninstall, you must use the same version of the .msi file as was used for the installation. If you have misplaced the original .msi file, you can apply the latest update and use that file to uninstall.

Other ways to install the ActivTrak Agent are to use Group Policy distribution or to use the Remote Agent Installation feature of the ActiveTrak Viewer.
